Step 1: remove all damage mods from the game
Step 2: make any logi fitting have a max of 1 unfilled equipment slot. (Ie. all but one equipment a lot must be filled for the fitting to be valid)
Step 3: give each assault suit a Dmg bonus to their racial weapon. (Similar to the amarr assaults bonus)
Boom done. Ttk is raised. # of murder logis goes down (not sure how much but it's a start) and assaults get a decent bonus. Problem solved.

Lots of good points raised but once we get more high slot modules, than I think it will be a more appropriate time to do step 1.

Problem solved. :( my logi suit will suckthen :( i use nothing but PRO equips for my logi logi, and I can get a 1 man orbi in an ambush with my logi points, and I have to leave a few slots empty because of the PG and CPU ussage, I would buff the logi PG by 10% or reduce the ADV to PRO stats of modules, or keep themaround the same PG and CPU as the active scanner is,(9PG for almost all of them.) Nothing restricts you from running proto equipment, you must have all but 1 equipment slot filled. A logi is supposed not supposed to replace the assault class and that's what's happening. My suggestions would make assaults more "assault" oriented and would make logis less "assault" oriented.

Plus, DMG mods are a bit overrated, IMO. If you do the math, stacking 3 actually makes little sense, for example, compared to a complex shield mod. Step #3 give assaults better bonuses like the amarr assault bonus :)

Lol yup, I noticed that most of the assault suits have nearly pointless bonuses (IMO at least) so I thought why not model the bonuses after the amarr assault bonus?
I haven't come up with some amazing ideas but here is what I was thinking: Caldari: get a range bonus Gallente: get a dispersion reduction (the gallente AR is getting a range nerf so this won't affect the gun at longer ranges) Minmatar: I haven't come up with a good bonus for minmatar yet but I was thinking something similar to their current assault bonus (increased clip size)
Personally I'm a little unsure about the gallente bonus, I'm trying to think of one that would suit the CQC brawlers that they are

I like step 1, a sunny day Let's face it, Dmg mods made this game a cod clone since 1.6 Damage mods make scouts die in 0.1 sec instead of 0.8 secs. Indeed, it's dumb when one player (1) can take out an entire squad using a duvolle with 3-4 complex Dmg mods and they are pumping out 1k+ Dmg every half a clip.

That would NOT fix the problem, it would make it even worse. 1 of my murder logi fit's. 5 X Complex shield extender. 4 X Enhanced armor plate. 3 X Compact nanohive. 1 X Flux grenade. 1 X Carthum assault scrambler rifle. Stats: CPU: 458/459 PG: 102/102 Shield: 588 HP. Armor: 596 HP. Stamina: 115. Stamina recovery rate: 12.00. Shield recharge rate: 20. Armor repair rate: 3. (im still only lvl 3, at lvl 5, its 5) Movement speed: 4.33. Sprint speed: 6.06. Melee damage: 110. 1.184 EHP. Proto weapon. Nano's for self reps and ammo. As you can se i dont use any dmg mods on this fit, but it is still a MURDER LOGI. You get down to 120 armour, 2 compact nanohives used up to rep you/resupply, you get taken out again, hide plop down 3 (and final) compact hive. Reps you a bit, boom gone, no more nanohives. I'm assuming your using a callogi cause they are the only ones that can dual tank better than an amarr logi (the rightful dual tankers of the game btw) so you'll run to a supply depot or respawn (unlikely) and swap fits for a few seconds to get your nanos back but by then. The enemy has over run your position = you dead.
See were I'm going? Ttk is raised, people will always murder logi, but this is where step 3 comes in. If assault suits had a better bonus than logis, why would people use the logi suit to assault? Think about it for a sec.

The Dmg mod thing has pretty much ruined the game, I rarely see a person not stacking Dmg mods. You can tell who is by looking at the shield remaining of the guy who killed you. Compare it to the base shields of the suit and using distance you can judge wether or not they would have been in the middle of the combat.
